High Protein Waffles

Ingredients
1.5 cups of Self Raising flour
1/2 cup of vanilla protein powder - I used NZ Protein's Whey Protein
1 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1 TBS butter, melted
1 cup milk - I used lite blue top
1/2 cup plain high protein yogurt - I used Fresh & Fruity Greek-Style
Method
Sift all the dry ingredients into a large bowl.
In a separate microwave safe bowl, add milk and butter. Heat for 30-40 secs. Stir until butter and milk well combined.
Add yoghurt and egg to the milk and butter mix, stir until well combined.
Make a well in the middle of the dry mix and then pour in the liquid mixture. Gently mix until it all just comes together - don't over mix.
Using a 1/2 cup, in the centre of your waffle iron, pour enough batter to fill 3/4 of the mould. Close the lid and let your iron do the rest. Repeat until your batter is finished.
Add your fav toppings and enjoy - I added stewed feijoas, frozen blueberries, yoghurt and LOTS of SF maple.
Hot tips!
Batter should make 8 medium sized waffles, 2waffles per serve.
The batter is meant to be thicker than a pancake batter.
Additions: 100g yoghurt + 30g berries + 3 med feijoas + 70ml SF maple = +103 cals
